If you have completed the Open Water coursework and pool sessions at a different PADI facility and need to pass off your Open Water dives or if you would like to complete your coursework and pool sessions here with Scuba Utah and then complete the Open Water dives elsewhere, this is for you.
Course Description
Referral: Open Water Dives
Prices:
Referral Open Water Dives :
Referral for Dives 1-4: $300.00
Referral for Dives 1&2 or 3&4: $150.00
Private Referral Open Water Dives:
Private Referral Dives 1-4: $549.00
Private Referral Dives 1& 2 or 3&4: $275.00
*You need to complete a total of 4 Open Water checkout dives, over a 2 day
period (2 dives a day) - in order to complete your Open Water Diver Certification.
Price Includes:
PADI Open Water certification e-card and scuba rental equipment for Open Water dives (Tanks, Weights, Regulator, and BCD).
Not Included:
Personal gear (Mask, snorkel, boots, fins.) Read more about the importance of proper equipment HERE. Crater entrance fee- Inquire with Scuba Utah Staff for current pricing. (We do go up over two days).
Location:
Open Water Dives are at the Homestead Crater in Midway, Utah (700 Homestead Dr, Midway, UT 84049).

Crater times are subject to change, but you can check our calendar by clicking HERE. Look for the 'Open Water Dives' to see if any of our prescheduled dives will work for you. Once you find a weekend that works for you, contact us or stop by the shop to set up your Referral Open Water Dives today.
If you find the prescheduled dives will not work for you, then we do offer private Open Water Referral Dives!
Private referral sessions will be scheduled based around your availability, instructor availability and the Homestead Crater appointment availability. Contact us or stop by to set up a private Open Water Referral today. The more time in advance that you schedule, the more accommodating we can be!

Classroom & Pool Sessions, PADI e-learning materials, scuba rental equipment for pool use (Tanks, Weights, Regulator, and BCD).

Scuba Utah (1942 E. Ft. Union Blvd (7000 S), Salt Lake City, Utah 84121)
Prerequisites:
PADI Open Water e-learning complete*, basic swimming/snorkeling skills, at least 10 years old.
*Prior to the start of class the PADI E-Learning will need to be completed. PADI advises planning around 12-15 hours to complete all of this online coursework. You can purchase this through Scuba Utah, it is included in the cost for both private and regular classroom/pool referrals!

- One Week Class- Monday/Wednesday/Friday evenings from 6-10 pm.
- Two Week Class- Tuesday/Thursday the first week, Thursday the second week from 6-10 pm.
- Weekend Class- Friday from 6-10pm and Saturday from 8am-5pm.

Cancellation Policy
Need to change your class to a different schedule?
If you are not able to attend a class please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. If less than 48 hours notice is given a $100 transfer fee will be applied. Additional transfer fees applicable. No refunds once class has started.
